How does the roadmap work with Basecamp?
You plan in a Basecamp card table — the same board your team already uses. Can Do publishes its columns and cards as a clean, public roadmap on your own domain, and it updates automatically whenever cards move in Basecamp.
Which columns show up on the public roadmap?
You choose. Pick which card-table columns to publish and drag to set their order. Unchecked columns stay private, so you can keep an internal “Triage” lane hidden while showing “In progress” and “Done.”
Can visitors upvote features?
Yes, optionally. Turn on upvotes and anyone can vote for what matters most. Each browser votes once, and the first upvote is pushed back to the card in Basecamp so your team sees the demand.
Do customers need a Basecamp account?
No. The roadmap is a public website on your own domain — anyone with the link can view it. Your Basecamp project stays private.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, on the Pro and Business plans. Publish to a domain you own, like roadmap.yourcompany.com, with SSL included. On Solo your roadmap lives on getcando.com.
Do card details and dates show publicly?
You control it. Toggle “Show dates” to display each card's due (or created) date, and “Show card detail” to let visitors open a card and read its full notes.
What happens to my roadmap if I cancel Can Do?
Your card table stays safe in Basecamp — it's just a regular Basecamp card table. Only the public roadmap goes offline; none of your content is ever lost.
How does pricing work for the roadmap?
The roadmap is included in your Can Do subscription, alongside the blog and knowledge base. You only pay per account — the rest of your team can manage cards in Basecamp at no extra cost.
